While preparing for her Girl Scout Gold Award Project, Charlotte teen Pavani Gingrich saw staggering statistics that indicated a dangerous decrease in the local owl populations due to clear-cutting. She wanted to use her project to help start the rebuilding process of the owl population. These owl boxes were built as part of her project to replace their lost homes. Pavani is a member of Troop 1029 in the Girl Scout's Hornets Nest Council.
