You are required to have one adult chaperone for every ten students attending the program. As a courtesy, we provide free admission for one adult per every 10 students. On-site programs include an educator, bird ambassadors on the glove, and admission to the Raptor Trail. Programs last approximately 50 minutes, and the trail takes about an hour when visited at a leisurely pace. Field Trips are the best way to experience the Raptor Center.

There is a maximum of two programs per day, and reservations with more than 15 minutes between programs will incur additional fees. Outreach programs include an educator and bird ambassadors on the glove. Programs last approximately 50 minutes.

All Carolina Raptor Center Private Education Programs last up to 60 minutes. This one-hour program includes a 40-minute presentation with avian ambassadors on the glove followed by 20-minutes of Q&A and exploration of biofacts.

If a shorter program would work better for your group, we can modify this timing to best fit your needs. We can do up to 2 programs a day for your group either at our facility or at your location.

Private Education Programs at Carolina Raptor Center can be scheduled year-round on:

• Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:15 am, 11:15 am, 12:45 pm & 1:45 pm.
• Wednesdays through Friday, programs are available at 10:15 am & 11:15 am.

Outreach programs can be scheduled:

• Monday - Friday between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

• All requests to reschedule or cancel must be submitted in writing.
• There is no fee to reschedule if the program is rescheduled within one week of the cancellation date and the program is completed within 12 months of the originally scheduled date.
• A full refund of the program deposit is available if the cancellation request is received more than 30 days before the scheduled program.
• Changes to the number of attendees must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the program.
• No refunds will be issued on day of the visit.
