Explore what makes birds of prey special with the help of Carolina Raptor Center's avian ambassadors!
Participants will discover what makes a bird a Raptor or Bird of Prey, unique characteristics that help these birds survive, why these birds are important and conservation actions that you can take to help. Meet avian ambassadors, participate in interactive activities, engage in observations, explore biofacts, and ask questions.
All About Raptors is an auditorium-style program available year-round for any group looking for an educational experience relating to birds of prey, such as classrooms, libraries, summer camps, and retirement communities.

We recommend submitting requests at least 4 weeks in advance. Reservations must be confirmed at least 3 weeks prior to the visit.
Reservations are not confirmed until you have completed the reservation request form, received an invoice, and submitted a 50% deposit or purchase order if requested.

Owl Pellet Dissection

Spark curiosity and scientific thinking as students explore the world of owls through hands-on discovery!
Participants will learn how owl pellets are formed, investigate what they reveal about an owl's diet, and discover the unique adaptations owls use to locate and capture prey.
Through the scientific method and guided investigation, students will analyze real owl pellets, make observations, and draw conclusions like scientists. This engaging experience encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and a deeper appreciation for owls and the natural world.
