Osprey Release

At Lake Norman State Park

July 1, 10:30am

Join Carolina Raptor Center for the release of a rehabilitated Osprey! This family-friendly event held at Lake Norman State Park features the release of an Osprey that was treated at the Carolina Raptor Center Hospital in Huntersville, NC. We recently received a large amount of support from the public who donated fish to keep this osprey, along with other birds in our care, fed with a proper diet. Thank you!

You can also meet one of our resident birds and hear from our staff about the backstory of this Osprey and how Carolina Raptor Center works to heal and protect raptors of all kinds.

The event will begin at 10:30am and last approximately 30 minutes. We will be at the swim beach at 1412 State Park Rd. Statesville, NC 28677.
NO PETS, please, as they can disrupt or rehabilitated and resident birds.

The Carolina Raptor Center is home to more than 50 ambassador birds that educate and inspire thousands of guests each year. CRC also rehabilitates sick and injured raptors, admitting 800 – 1,000 birds a year.

Food is an incredibly large cost for our organization, as we prioritize making sure the birds in our care receive appropriate diets to help them thrive. Your donations help us ensure that we can continue to provide high-quality food to every bird at the Carolina Raptor Center.
