Carolina Raptor Center is located at 6000 Sample Road in Huntersville, NC, inside Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. Talons: Birds of the World Flight Show

Carolina Raptor Center's high flying, gravity defying summer flight show features our native and exotic birds in free flight. Learn about raptors from across the globe, what makes them special and what dangers they face. Please arrive a half an hour early so that you won't miss the show. Tickets will be sold up until 10 minutes before the show begins. Gates to amphitheatre open 30 minutes before show time. Unfortunately, due to the terrain and flight paths of the birds at our amphitheatre, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.
Live Bird Presentation

Docent volunteers present 3-4 species of birds on glove and discuss the natural history of featured birds in our Festival Area.
Vulture Feeding

Vultures are smart! Come see them play with their food at our weekly vulture feeding presented by our knowledgeable docent volunteers.

Tour our education trail, our raptor hospital and enjoy sights not generally open to the public. Please sign up in the Visitor's Center as space is limited - Call 704-875-6521 x 107 to register and prepay. Cost is $5 per person (does not include admission fee).
* On the First and Third FULL Weekends of the month -- CRC offers a package deal. $7 to attend both Behind the Scenes and Flight Show - subject to availability.
Eagle Research Observatory Tours - Jan-April - 2013 Season has just begun!
Each nesting season with the laying of Derek and Savannah's first egg, CRC provides donors and the general public with tours of Marcy's Eagle Research Observatory. Up to six guests will spend time learning about CRC's eaglets past, present, and future as well as spend some time observing the eagles in Marcy's Observatory. Cost is $25 per person. Children age 8 and above can participate. Tours are offered at 1:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and will continue until our eaglets are moved to the hack tower. Slots can be reserved in visitor services when you visit on the weekends or by calling 704.875.6521 ext. 107. For tours of more than six people, please call our education dept at 704.875.6521 ext. 210.
